Our current offering:
RED ALDER - 9'+ lengths of 8-10" wide 5/4 thickness which has been air dried seven years. This lumber comes from 18-24" straight first and second logs harvested on Orcas Island in 2001. These are firsts, mostly clear with only occasional tight knots. The lumber is H/M hit and miss planed and straight edged. Suitable for the finest built-ins, musical instrument and boatbuilding applications. Never exposed to temperatures over 85F or force dried in any mannner. Fully stress relief sawn and seasoned. Up to 1MBF available.
RED ALDER - 9'+ lengths of 8-10" width 8/4 thickness same as above. Much smaller quantity available.
Specializing in local San Juan Island species. Use for cabinet work, flooring, furniture, paneling, etc. Sitka Spruce, Red Alder and Big Leaf Maple for musical instrument applications.
Air dried local species from Orcas and surrounding islands
of the San Juan Islands.The poor soil conditions and high winds give these woods excellent engineering properties.
